Our favorite beaches

around Tulia Guesthouse in Tenerife

In Tenerife, we are fortunate to have access to many incredible beaches that are part of the identity of this island so rich in landscape and culture. In this article, we've listed our favorite beaches near Tulia Guesthouse - our apartments and rooms are actually named after some of these beaches! Happy reading :)

Playa Bollullo

The best of all worlds · 20mn by car from Tulia Guesthouse

Bollullo is the beach that has it all: the wild side with its surrounding cliffs, the practical side with its fantastic Chiringuito for eating and drinking with your feet in the sand, the safe side with lifeguards on the spot every day, and the comfortable side with easy access by car and on foot. We like to go there at the end of the day, or on Sundays to relax.

Playa El Socorro

To catch the best waves · 10mn by car from Tulia Guesthouse

Playa El Socorro is just a 10-minute drive from Tulia (or you can walk there if you don't mind the climb back!). This beach is one of the most beautiful in the area, with its volcanic sand and wonderful views of the ocean and banana plantations. It's also one of the best surf spots in the region!

Playa El Ancon

The most peaceful · 20mn by car from Tulia Guesthouse

Playa El Ancon is located near Bollullo in the protected area of El Rincón; the walk down to its black volcanic sand is an incredible experience, passing through banana plantations, cliffs and the vineyards of the famous Malvasia wine. The end reward is a wonderfully refreshing dip in the ocean. It’s one of our favorite spots to catch sunset in the Summer months.

Playa Los Patos

Magnificence and rest · 20mn by car from Tulia Guesthouse

This large beach is an invitation to solitude, silence and contemplation. Quite large and isolated, you can often find yourself alone in the world, at the foot of the Teide and facing the power of the ocean.

Playa Almáciga

Surfing and wild waters · 1h20 by car from Tulia Guesthouse

For those who love wild waters and surfing, Almáciga is idyllic. This is one of the three beaches in Taganana, a charming village that has kept its traditions practically intact. Almáciga is one of our favorite beaches after hiking in Anaga, a place that seems timeless where we can relax and soak up the cheerful local atmosphere.
